***Beautiful Snow Bengals For Sale in Michigan***
What is a " Snow" Bengal?
Here at Volare, our breeding program is focused on the beautiful Snow Bengal, sometimes called "miniature snow leopards". Our cats are raised as part of our family, and kittens are raised "under foot" in our home, with lots of love and socialization from all members of our family so that we can offer you a sweet-natured, well-adjusted companion for life. We selectively choose our breeding cats with the goal of producing top-quality, happy, healthy kittens who will meet or exceed the breed standard.
There are 3 types of Snow Bengals: Seal Lynx Point The "blue-eyed" Bengal, the lynx is born nearly pure white with markings darkening as the kitten gets older due to the heat sensitivity of the "Siamese" version of the gene for albinism. The body color is a light-to-medium ivory. The markings are a seal brown which can sometimes have a cooler, dark gray look. The eyes are pure blue, (reflecting pinkish red when the light hits them), and should be richly colored. A lynx has inherited two copies of the " Siamese" version of the gene for albinism. Genetically: cs cs Seal Mink The seal mink snow Bengal will have a medium-to-light cream colored body color with seal brown markings. The eyes will be aqua, or blue-green. A seal mink Bengal has inherited one "Siamese", and one "Burmese" gene. Genetically: cs cb Seal Sepia The darkest of the snows, the sepia Bengal will have a medium-to-dark cream colored body with dark-to-medium seal brown makings. The eyes will be a gold or green color. It should be noted however, that since DNA Colorpoint testing has become more widely used to determine exact color at the genetic level, some snow Bengals once thought to be mink, have actually been found to be sepia, and vice versa... A sepia has inherited two copies of the "Burmese" version of the gene for albinism. Genetically: cb cb
